02/57/24 Welcome Home, Hunnewell!

After 18 months of construction (15.5 months from foundations to substantial completion), we were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the new Hunnewell Elementary School alongside K-5 students, faculty, families and Wellesley community members. The 76,500 square foot, state-of-the-art facility offers cutting-edge technology and a learning neighborhood concept in which the classrooms for each grade open into a pod area to create a shared learning and “neighborhood space.

Huge congratulations to the Town of Wellesley, Vertex, and SMMA on this achievement, and most importantly, to all the students – present and future – who will benefit from this incredible new space for decades to come!
