09/272/23 Sawyer Free Library Breaks Ground

The Sawyer Free Library project is officially underway! With over 200 Gloucester community members in attendance, Friday's SFL Groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of the process to transform the space into a center of intellectual and social engagement that captures the City's vision of a 21st-century library. The reimagined library will include comprehensive renovations and an addition to preserve its historic feel while modernizing and enhancing it to better serve the community. Congratulations to all those involved on the official start of this exciting journey. Now it's time to get to work!
