10/289/23 EGVM Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Congratulations to the students, teachers and staff members of the new East Gloucester Veterans Elementary School! Monday’s ribbon cutting marked the culmination of two years of construction on the 90,000 square foot building, which serves 450 students in grades K-5 with modern academic spaces that support 21st-century educational standards, development and innovation.

At one point during the celebration, the entire fifth grade class got up to sing, “We Are Going to be Friends,” which they had performed as third graders during the school’s groundbreaking in 2021. We are grateful to have been part of such a joyous event and wish the entire EGVM community a fantastic first year in their new school!
