08/218/26 Community Kids Place Students get excited for their New Facility!

 

W.T. Rich was excited to spend time with students from The Community Group’s Community Kids Place summer program in Lawrence for a hands-on introduction to careers in construction.

Joined by Finegold Alexander Architects, QPD, and The Community Group, our team visited two classrooms to talk with students about the many roles that help bring a construction project to life. Students also had the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the facility they will be moving into in roughly a year, helping them connect what they learned in the classroom to a real project taking shape in their community.

As part of the visit, students participated in a LEGO building activity where each student was assigned a construction role and worked together using communication and teamwork skills to build their project.
